Liver Health Study
Chronic, excess dietary intake of sugar and fat leads to a host of health problems, including: obesity, systemic inflammation, lipid abnormalities, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes. Some over-the-counter dietary supplements have bioactive ingredients that might help the body digest and absorb food more efficiently and improve liver function, ultimately enhancing biomarkers of metabolic health and wellness.
The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of a unique dietary supplement derived from black pepper on body weight, waist circumference, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol levels, and other markers of health and wellness.
The Center for Applied Health Sciences is looking for 94 men and women (21-65 yr) to complete the study. Qualified participants will receive up to $600 in compensation for their time and successful completion of the study.
